Repair Drop-Off Checklist

Purpose: Ensure all CPLS staff follow protocol to avoid miscommunication, unexpected repair charges, and lost equipment.

  • Photograph Equipment:

    • Take clear photos of the equipment before handing it over.
    • Include serial number, visible damage, and condition.
  • Remove Spray Gun Tip:

    • Detach the spray gun tip and store it safely before drop-off.
  • Instruct Repair Shop on Price Cap:

    • Clearly tell the mechanic: Call Ryan Bell if the repair estimate goes over $300.

  • Require Signature from Repair Shop:

    • Inform them: “You must call before any work over $300 is approved. If you don’t, CPLS will not pay for it.
    • Get the repair shop to sign acknowledging this condition.
  • Authorize Estimate-Only Inspection First:

    • Instruct the repair shop to conduct an inspection only and provide an estimate.
    • Let them know you will approve or decline repairs after reviewing the estimate.
  • If Estimate Exceeds $300 Without Approval:

    • Do not return to this repair shop again.
    • Notify management immediately.
  • Leave a Copy of This Checklist with the Repair Center:

    • Print or email a copy to ensure they understand the terms and expectations.
